Please take a moment of silence today to honor those we lost on 9/11, the heroes that ran to the flames, and those that sacrificed to defend our way of life.
20 years on, most of us remember September 11, 2001 with the clear visceral detail as if it happened just yesterday. Emotions well up in convulsive waves as we look back on the tragic morning that changed our lives forever. Life was carrying on as usual then suddenly the fabric of our world was in tatters. We cannot forget. It is impossible to wipe our memories and lasting pain from the horrors that day.
It is still difficult to process what happened. Why would someone want to do that a people that brought so much art, science, culture, ideas, technology, music, and hope to the rest of the world?
What we do know is that Americans are resilient, heroic, and will rise to any adversity. We are a good people that did not deserve to bear what happened that fateful day. But we got going - We came together, rebuilt, recreated, and recovered. Yes, danger lurks all about these days, yet we can and will be prepared for whatever comes next. Indeed, we’ll be ready.
Our mission is to be here for you. We absolutely will #NeverForget
